Emerald Curtain by: [<>]Little Ru[<>] matron_hotaru@hotmail.com Rating: G An emerald curtain flashes before her eyes Before settling back down; With a deft flick of her wrist, she pushes Its remnants away from her face. Nothing. She snaps her hand out to her side and Welcomes the warm throbbing of her only True companion: The Key. She takes a moment to admire its beauty; Gleaming facets of priceless gems Stream down like tears from the lonely Garnet. She turns again and the emerald curtain Returns momentarily; Still nothing. She continues to travel with her heart in her hand, Her mind cries confusion but her soul cries Abandon. The weblike material of continuity's very core, One of her prized works, Slips by her soundlessly like invisible cobwebs; So much effort, so much work. So much left undone. The emerald curtain flashes again; Nothing. She wonders when there'll be Something, Then returns her gaze to the Key.
